Jasmin Breeze's Monsieur Bond filly foal - full of the joys;  4days old and having the space for the first time for a real stretch of her legs.

She looks more like her dad, with that big white blaze and near-side rear stocking, though Monsieur Bond's is only a sock!

The Racing Post reports Monsieur Bond as: smart 2yo, high-class sprinter at 4, from fast family; very good record with 2yos, progeny progress.

We shall be following the racecourse progress and entries of Monsieur Bond's
progeny with a great deal of interest for clues to our foal's future.

Proud Mum as she watches her foal exploring the barn; perked up
herself at getting to stretch her legs too!

Not for too long, as it is important that the foal does not overdo
exercise at this early stage.

But it will not be long before she has the freedom of the paddock
  in which to run around.

Here she is now 10 days old, when Carol and Mike as well as Barbara and David came to see our foal.  Jasmine Breeze is doing well by her and the foal is growing fast and strengthening up.

She is very pretty and remarkably bold: here she is coming forward to have a nibble at Carol's jacket.

Her inquisitive attitude perhaps reflects our mare's laid back
attitude: she is well used to visitors at this stage in proceedings.

Anne and Julian are pleased with both foal and mare.  They have allowed them out in the paddock for the foal to run around, but not to overexert herself.

They were very welcoming at a busy time, and patiently answered all our questions.

However, by the time we came to leave, our foal was ready for
 a snooze!

Following are some more photos of our foal at 10-days old,
taken by Carol and Mike.

This one really captures her personality and her knobbly knees.

Jasmine Breeze behaved very well during our visit.  For much of the time she stood patiently held by Julian to one side of the spacious box, to allow the foal to get used to her second lot of visitors.

She did not fret or try to interpose herself between us and the foal.  And at one point returned to to her manger to eat, as relaxed as anything.

As to the foal helself, she was not shy at all.  She came forward slowly but in a
determined manner to check us out, sniffing and nuzzling gently.  A couple of times,
it looked as though she might push past us to explore further afield!

Here is our lovely foal, now 14 days old, on the occasion of a vist by Ann and Jan, as well as Helen as a guest.  Jan has a new camera, with which she took these photos.

Helen has lots of experience with thoroughbred mares and their foals and said how well Jasmine Breeze and her foal were looking.

Anne and Julian again went out of their way to welcome the foal's visitors.
They reported that the foal's legs were strengthening up nicely,
something she was happy to demonstrate.

Growing fast and thriving; our foal is now 30 days old.
Her legs are strengthening nicely and she enjoys getting out in the paddock.  Her main nutrition is still milk from mum, but she is now starting to nibble hay and pinch some of JB's nuts.

As Jasmine Breeze is so relaxed and laid back, her foal is inquisitive and very friendly.  She is happy wearing her halter and Anne reports that she is easy to handle.

More photos below, as well as some of Mum having treats
for letting us get close to her foal.

Two days later and the weather nice enough for lucky
Jan and Helen to see Jasmine Breeze and her foal in the
paddock.  here are some of the photos they took.

Our foal just loved showing off running around, but returning
often enough and close enough to allow Jan to take this super photograph.

Both Jasmine Breeze and her foal thoroughly enjoyed the sun,
so hopefully mum will soon be ready for her visit to Archipenko.
